My recent favourite meal is Pasta and I love to try out new recipes in the making of my Pasta.
Whenever any of my friends come around and I get into the kitchen to make some Pasta of course
, I start with arranging all my ingredients. Did I mention that before cooking, I already have a mental picture of what the end result should look like.
Does this story resonate?
I feel so confident making any dish with Pasta that I sometimes feel it was created for my hands and mouth to explore and savour.
So, I know already what kind of Pasta I would cook. I know if I want to make a seafood veggies mix pasta or some lemon 'N' ginger meat balls mix pasta or just some plain Pasta. But my friend probably has a different thought or none or simply just expectant of what I would make.
Pasta is one of the quickest and easiest meal to prepare you know. But in my kitchen, it's probably not that fast!
I cut, dice, slice, fry, mix, blend, massage, sauteé, grate, shake and mix all together.
My friend wonders and comments, at every stage, this is perfect. Let's just eat. But No, it's not perfect yet to me until I see the end I had pictured. And mind you, it's never the same recipe and waiting time for each Pasta dish I make.
Viola!
The Pasta comes out looking beautiful and I see the smile on her face. At this time, she is no longer in a rush. She looks at the perfectly cooked meal in front of her and takes in every aroma and bite. ![]() |

Sometimes, we are on a process/journey and just like my friend, we are so eager to see the end. But mos times, God isn't just finished yet. He knows you. He is the chef of your life. He decides when you are ready. He knows what form and shape your life should take. He knows what method and waiting period would make or break you. He formed you remember? He knows you and very mindful of you.
Lesson moral: Just wait and trust that it will come out perfect at his time which is always perfect.
P.S - He is always on time!
So, here I am on my toilet seat happy to know that you will trust and wait for your Pasta to be ready

With love,
TA
And oh yes, it's been a minute🙈😀!
