The PROVERBS 31 MAN

Yes!

Originally, that invaluable chapter of this precious book was written for the boy child who will become a man and who will find and be attracted to the verses 10 to 31 woman.

So, in the beginning of the book of Proverbs chapter 31. There was a wise woman and mother who later became the 'Queen Mother'; she knew the importance of rasing a boy child to becoming a real Man. She understood that the girl child isn't the only one to be taught certain things like, respect, morals and nobel character.

She taught her son to love God with the whole of his being. She raised him to respect women and men like wise. She made him understand the role of diplomacy and transparency in his dealings.
She taught him to behave like the 'King' that he is and act like one; in the way that he drinks, eats, relates and speaks  in private and public. She understood the fact that what goes into his mouth could sometimes determine what comes out of the same mouth when the mind has been uttered!

She raised him to be caring and loving and compassionate. King Lemuel was taught by his mother not to look down or oppress others with his wealth and power but instead speak, when need be and fight for the oppressed and defenseless.  He was taught to make sound, godly and righteous decisions at every point in his life which include the choice and traits of the woman to whom he would be husband.
She went on in verse 10 to describe this strong, independent, reliable, passionate lover of the Most High and  industrious woman whose nobel character would bring blessings and praises to her husband.

Now,

All my life!

This chapter had always been a reference point of teachings to the girl child or woman in church and at every Christ - like gathering of women and girls.

(Almost)every MAN desires the Proverbs 31 WOMAN!

Everyone(men and women) I asked about the book of Proverbs 31 after drafting this post said the same thing and saw it the same way (THE VIRTUOUS WOMAN) and so I knew right away, the Holyspirit didn't just make me see those horrible posts on domestic violence, rape and killings for pity sakes. HE didn't just instruct me to read the chapter yet again for my (wawuuu) sake! He wanted more people to know about this and wanted more people to take it to heart and seriously!

After I read the whole chapter (yet again) and understood His point of view which was an answer to the questions I had asked myself(perhaps HIM) as I combed my hair remembering the images/news I had seen the previous night and day before on deaths and near - death experiences of beautiful women & girls by their lovers/husbands/ strangers; I wondered why we were so quick to jumping to verse 10 and forgetting the beginning of the book.

My concern here is , maybe, just maybe if boys were taught these lessons too(both in & outside church); If boys were made to understand that they cannot and will NEVER get the Proverbs 31 vs 10- 31 woman if they are not(and more) the Proverbs 31 vs 1 - 9 man!

If only we could teach our boys to be loving and gentle, yet bold and strong; that loving God is the ultimate and their strength is not VISIBLE in the number of slaps, punches and blows they throw at the other person(s).

If we could raise them to build their character beyond money and "life" chase...

Just if!!!

This is a call to every MOTHER, Sister, Friend, Teacher,  Spiritual Leaders, Fathers and everyone who has lost someone or persons to the fist of blows and anger. Don't just teach the girl child alone! Don't just preach the virtuous woman story to a dying and hurting woman, Don't just pity and pray for the girls and women...TEACH THE BOYS TO BE THE PROVERBS 31 MAN. That was the purpose of the Book!!! For the young man!!!

All you need do right now is READ THE BOOK FOR THE FIRST TIME ALL OVER AGAIN!
