Okay, not here to advertise for them. Have you heard?

Operations of a Lagos-based popular multinational food outlet, Chocolate Royale, have been shut down by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) for storage of expired food ingredients and other “unethical practices.”
It was learnt that the agency sealed off the company after being tipped off that it engages in illegal importation and using expired ingredients and food products to prepare food and confectionaries for unsuspecting customers.
NAFDAC announced that it closed down the company’s facilities at Plot 267A Etim Inyang Crescent and the Managing Director’s residence on No 1, Karimu KotunStreet, all in Victoria Island, Lagos.
The multinational outlet was also accused of operating illegal cold-rooms at their Managing Director’s resident where large quantities of various expired and spoilt food ingredients worth millions of naira were discovered.
According to the Director, Investigation and Enforcement of NAFDAC, Kingsley Ejiofor, some top officials of the company were also arrested for wilful obstruction of NAFDAC operatives during the raid which lasted over for more than nine hours.
Ejiofor said, “the suspects will be interrogated, while the products will be sampled and taken to the laboratory for analysis, where the labels and contents will be properly analysed. And at the end of the day when the results are out, that will determine the next of action.”
He said the company will remain closed until investigations are concluded.
NAFDAC’s Director-General, Dr. Paul Orhii who inspected the seized products stated that asides the fact that the products are expired, they were not registered by NAFDAC therefore should not have come into the country in the first place.
Chocolate Royale is owned by Lebanese business mogul,Amin Moussalli who also owns broadcast stations; Cool Fm, Nigerian Info Fm, Wazobia Fm, Cool TV, Wee TV and Wazobia TV among other business interests in Nigeria.

For My G.Ma - Felicia

I never knew I would miss her this much. People never understood why I love Christmas. I didn’t quite get it too – apart   from the bursting joy of the birth of Christ, the melodious songs and beautiful decorations; there was more to the super hyper and lovey-dovey feeling I always have this season. So, I was scrolling through my phone gallery and saw the last photo I had with my G.Ma. Oh by the way, Christmas was her birth and death day. I’m writing this because of her. Just to share a bit of her awesomeness with you. That woman was a bad-ass! Reminiscing on my childhood memories with her, I realized she was the reason I love Christmas. I usually spent my Christmas and New-Year holidays with her as a child. She would take me to her church and ask the priest to allow me join other children in the Christmas carol rehearsals and performances. She would take me to the salon and have my hair done and accessorized. I hated making my hair, it was just too stressf...

Hello there!

Is it too late to say happy new year😥?! I mean, a quarter in the year 2021 is almost over, so I will let this mushy feeling slide, and let’s say I will pretend like I have been writing and written to you all these while.    Happy? Yes.    So, what have you been up to?  As for me, after the whole #EndSARS movement, I just literally had this block. In fact, I wrote a couple of things in my notebook but just couldn’t bring myself to sharing here.  I was beyond devastated, as many people – Nigerians were.    Anyways, before and since then, I was also doing a lot of thinking, studying, and preparing for a professional examination, which I wrote and passed in December, last year – yay!! Then, I have just been having ideas on a lot of things I would have loved to share with you but you know what they say about procrastination. Yea….got the best of this relationship!   I’m sorry.  Now, I hope to be more consistent – I know I have said that a mi...

Killings in South Africa

I read and saw pathetic images of the killings of black foreigners by South Africans who are claiming or angry that these foreigners are taking up all available jobs and congesting available facilities and they also claim they are illegal immigrants. Read up the story captured by Al Jazeera below: 'Thousands of people have attended a march in South Africa's coastal city of Durban in solidarity with the country's foreign nationals.
