STAY WITH ME!

Oh yeah....oh yeah...oh oh oh yea!!!
Its almost Christmas and I can feel it already by the rowdiness of Lagos streets and corners with the color 'red' splashing and flashing at every corner, in various sizes, shapes, designs and all sort!

And yes I saw some traces of harmattan on Monday and it disappeared into thin again afterwards!
Lagos sha....can't remember the last time we had real nice and beautiful harmattan which mostly reminds us of the season.

I really miss those times I had to get covered and put on thick sweater and also watch the very little vapour come out of my mouth just like the 'oyinbos' in american films.
And trust me now...I would talk even when there was nothing to say and I would love to stay out in the cold just to have a better effect and self-view.

And yes! I'd run to people and tell them to watch my mouth closely and when they saw what I needed them to see, I would give a smile that reflects a deep sense of achievement and satisfaction...
I was a child doing all of that anyways...and that means it been a while since Christmas felt like Christmas-with the harmattan spice though!

Hmmn...
Now you are probably not super excited about the coming season or better still you are not happy the year is fast coming to an end with little or maybe none of your goals for 2014 achieved just yet.
But guess what,

I wish I had some more things to add to that said in the picture above.
But the truth, if searched is the fact that you are breathing and should be grateful for that.
The popular saying goes thus; "when there's life, there's hope!"

I sometimes don't like to use these phrase though...I think its been used over and over that it kinds of have this self pity bounce reflect attached to it.

So I quote, "if you can still feel your pulse then you have no reason to pause!"
(Oh yea...you guess had better start using my quote! And quote me!!)

So Happy gidi people....Get up! Rise! Feel your Pulse...you are still here right? So...LIVE and have great fun LIVING! *purpose.
I love you guys...so stay alive with moi!

For My G.Ma - Felicia

I never knew I would miss her this much. People never understood why I love Christmas. I didn’t quite get it too – apart   from the bursting joy of the birth of Christ, the melodious songs and beautiful decorations; there was more to the super hyper and lovey-dovey feeling I always have this season. So, I was scrolling through my phone gallery and saw the last photo I had with my G.Ma. Oh by the way, Christmas was her birth and death day. I’m writing this because of her. Just to share a bit of her awesomeness with you. That woman was a bad-ass! Reminiscing on my childhood memories with her, I realized she was the reason I love Christmas. I usually spent my Christmas and New-Year holidays with her as a child. She would take me to her church and ask the priest to allow me join other children in the Christmas carol rehearsals and performances. She would take me to the salon and have my hair done and accessorized. I hated making my hair, it was just too stressf...

Hello there!

Is it too late to say happy new year😥?! I mean, a quarter in the year 2021 is almost over, so I will let this mushy feeling slide, and let’s say I will pretend like I have been writing and written to you all these while.    Happy? Yes.    So, what have you been up to?  As for me, after the whole #EndSARS movement, I just literally had this block. In fact, I wrote a couple of things in my notebook but just couldn’t bring myself to sharing here.  I was beyond devastated, as many people – Nigerians were.    Anyways, before and since then, I was also doing a lot of thinking, studying, and preparing for a professional examination, which I wrote and passed in December, last year – yay!! Then, I have just been having ideas on a lot of things I would have loved to share with you but you know what they say about procrastination. Yea….got the best of this relationship!   I’m sorry.  Now, I hope to be more consistent – I know I have said that a mi...
