Some two weeks back, I was having a discussion with some colleagues and we were discussing talent management and the high rate of unemployment in the country.
And we also went further to project what could possibly be the rate of unemployment and talent in 2015.
We all agreed that the rate of unemployment was certainly going to rise if jobs were not provided and talent(skills) might decrease despite the awareness and engagement of young people in the acquistion of these skills. Sounds not true but looking at it from the view of an entrepreneur who has the mindset to learn a skill, be great at it and as well create job opportunities for others.
Then you will agree with me that most young people in this aspect have failed one way or the other; narrowing the skills learnt just for personal use or dormant either because they are not so keen about it or that they just don't know how to go about it.
Now there is this young woman who has learnt, and is so professional and passionate about her skill which if you ask her has made her stand firm and thrive through it all. Despite the rush in the learning of the Ankara accessories some few years back; she is still one of the few who has made a name and created a lucrative business out of it.
You could be a part of this training or sponsor a niece, cousin or friend to be part. Remember you ain't just learning how to make those beautiful piece but you would also be learning how to earn a living and create jobs for others.
Dare to be an enterpreneur, then be part of this!
