THINGS FALL APART

This piece was written shortly after the Late. Chinua Achebe passed away. The author of the timeless book "Things fall apart". He probably at that time hoped and waited for the things that fell apart to perhaps be gathered and mend again.

But, were they actually gathered?

Hmmn... a sigh I gave after the thought of this question which brought me back to the cycle again hoping that it would have a beautiful end in this generation - I pray!

Things fall apart
Scattered round the earth
Like a broken vase
That holds the fairest of flowers
Its pieces lies shattered and useless
As its fairest follows the dictate of the wind
Dragging helplessly behind it
Watching in sober as its owner mourn in silence
Ahead the fairest looks
To a place unknown
Hoping for the fallen pieces to be whole again!

I never knew I would miss her this much. People never understood why I love Christmas. Is it too late to say happy new year😥?! I mean, a quarter in the year 2021 is almost over, so I will let this mushy feeling slide, and let’s say I will pretend like I have been writing and written to you all these while. Happy? Yes. So, what have you been up to? As for me, after the whole #EndSARS movement, I just literally had this block. HEAT WAVE IN INDIA

A deadly heatwave in India is showing no sign of easing. 800 hundred people have been killed and that figure is rising. With temperatures reaching 48 C (118F), authorities are urging people to stay indoors and drink plenty of water. Most of the deaths are in the southern states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
